MLSA scores: Los Amigos Vs Yabucoa
2/12/2022

Months after our MLSA Championship our champions Yabucoa faced an AllStar Aguadilla team ready for payback of several years ago when Chicago gave them a solid loss. Yabucoa (2021 Champs) without key players and the MLSA pitcher of the year battled a slingshot pitcher and metal bats on their home turf. Final score of game one was a respectable 7-1 loss after such a long layoff. Game two of the doubleheader featured our style of pitching but Chicago was off to a bad start when the score was 14-3 by the 3rd inning. Yabucoa was able to take the lead by the top of the 6th inning but lost 17-16. Thanks to our very own Lucas Serrano (MVP) pitching Yabucoa was able to give the AllStar selection of Aguadilla all they could handle. We want to acknowledge Freddie Molina and Vicente for helping coordinate this sporting event in Puerto Rico and a special thank you to the Mayor of Aguadilla (Julio Roldan Concepcion) for honoring MLSA and team Yabucoa with a sports proclamation in their wonderful and beautiful costal city. The ceremony took place in their city hall and was a once in a lifetime event and a memory that will never be forgotten! Now off to the 2022 season. Talk soon, be safe, Lou Jimenez MLSA Commissioner.
