Major League Softball Association Official Bat List

2024 Season

MLSA will use ASA/USA approved wood bats only

Bats must be on the current ASA/USA approved list and approved by MLSA for the current season. Exceptions must be brought up by a manager to be approved by Exec. Board in our league meetings

  1. Only all wood softball bats, no composite or bamboo.

  2. ASA/USA logo must be displayed on the bat.

  3. Bats cannot be more than 34 inches long.

  4. Bats cannot exceed 38 ounces.

  5. The official bat shall not be more than 2.250 inches in diameter at its largest part, including any tolerance for expansion.

Some of the bat brands below also make baseball bats. Please ensure you are purchasing Softball Bats Only. All of these brands have USA/ASA stamps or say official softball if they don’t have the stamp.

Here is a list of approved bat brands and which Models are approved:

Viper, Phoenix, XBAT, Easton, Worth, Axe Bat, Max Bat, A Bat (SB71), Tucci, Marucci (YG9 Only), and Louisville Slugger

Viper Approved Models: Maple Ultralight, Softball Wood Bat, Softball Ultralight Wood, Softball Cone Knob Wood,Softball Lego Knob Wood,SB200 Wood Softball Bat

Men’s League: SB2, SB3, SB4, SB5, SB7, SB73

Women’s League: FP7,FP3, FP41

 

 

XBAT Approved Models:

ASA Model 59. ASA Model 41 ASA Model 61 ASA Model 71 ASA Model 73

Axe Bat Approved Models: Pro Hard Maple Wood Softball

 

Max Bat Approved Models: PH25, SB1, SB12 SB15, SB78

A Bat (A Superior Bat Company) Approved models: SB71

 

Tucci Approved Models: SB1, SB73

 

Marucci Approved Models: YG9

 

Louisville Slugger Approved Models: MSB3
